On the 10th of June 2000, one year after NATO had ceased its 78-day bombing campaign against Yugoslavia, a conference was convened in New York City by the International Action Center to review the claims that had been made to justify the war.
Ramsey Clark, former US Attorney General under President Lyndon B Johnson, opened the conference which took the form of a tribunal in which legal experts heard testimony from a number of witnesses who had first hand experience of the conflict before, during and after the western powers had resorted to military aggression without seeking due authority from the United Nations.
