Judge Approves Quick Sale of Seized Bitcoin
A recent ruling from a judge has paved the way for the quick sale of the seized crypto assets. Despite objections from Battle Born Investments, which argued it had rightful ownership through a bankruptcy estate. The court’s decision, however, leans on the volatility of the crypto market.

Critics, however, argue that the government’s decision to sell such a massive amount of Bitcoin could affect the market. This can create additional volatility in an already unpredictable asset class.

The news of the U.S. Justice Department being cleared to liquidate $6.5 billion worth of Bitcoin seized from the Silk Road comes just 11 days before Donald Trump is set to assume the presidency.
