The Russian defense ministry launched a powerful aerial attack on Ukraine early Friday. The massive wave of air strikes targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and fuel facilities that are essential to Ukraine’s military weapons industry. President Zelensky said it was the heaviest air strike since the start of the war. He said the Russians sought to destroy Ukraine’s power grid in the cold month of December.
