However, things took a dramatic turn when user @Waddles_eth purchased 50% of the supply and sent it directly to Chen. This act sparked a viral response, and Chen used his social media to promote the coin, boosting its visibility.

Despite the excitement, the price of MIRA eventually dropped by 80%, but the fundraising effort had already raised over $1 million for brain tumor research at the Hankinson Lab at the University of Colorado.
