There’s a major push to get more information out of New Jersey state and federal officials about the mysterious drones spotted in multiple counties. Local leaders tell CBS News New York’s Nick Caloway they still don’t believe the drones are a threat.

Mystery continues to swirl after nearly a month of drone sightings over New Jersey and other US states, alarming some residents. US authorities have been unable to provide definitive answers, saying only that the objects are not believed to pose a danger to the public or national security. On Sunday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas confirmed the sightings included drones, as well as manned aircraft commonly mistaken for drones. He added that he knows of “no foreign involvement” to do with the unmanned aerial vehicles. Some lawmakers have criticized the government’s handling of the drone reports and the lack of public information.

Feds to deploy ‘state-of-the-art’ detection system to NY as drone swarms have experts baffled
New York Sen. Chuck Schumer on Sunday called for the federal government to deploy recently declassified radar technology to finally identify the mysterious swarms of drones alarming the tri-state region.
The Senate Democratic leader addressed mounting frustration at the response soon after Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that the feds were finally “deploying a state-of-the-art drone detection system” to New York.
Hochul did not elaborate on exactly what that system was, nor how or where it would be used, but stressed that the area still needs more help to address the baffling sightings.
However, Schumer specifically called on the Department of Homeland Security to send in the Robin, a 360-degree radar that can quickly identify drones and track them back to their landing zones.
“New Yorkers have tremendous questions about [the drones]. We are going to get the answers,” Schumer said Sunday….More in the link below.
Joe Rogan says he’s ‘genuinely concerned’ about drone sightings after new theory emerges
Podcast king Joe Rogan said Sunday the mysterious drones that have buzzed around the tristate area have left him “genuinely concerned” after watching a video that floated an unverified theory about the unmanned devices sniffing out harmful substances.
John Ferguson, CEO of a remote aircraft system company in Kansas, claimed in a drawn-out TikTok video on Saturday that the drones are attempting to “smell” either a gas leak, “radioactive material,” or something else on the ground.
“The only reason why you would ever fly an unmanned aircraft at night is if you’re looking for something,” Ferguson said in the clip, noting he doesn’t believe the drones are nefarious.

New Jersey has been invaded by military drones coming from the ocean.
White House: Drones are manned aircraft; NJ lawmakers say that’s not what they were told
White House National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby said Thursday that many of the drone sightings reported in New Jerseyare actually lawfully operated manned aircraft, and do not pose any national security or public threat, despite concerns raised by lawmakers.
During a press briefing, Kirby stated that neither the White House, nor state and local law enforcement, have been able to corroborate “any of the reported visual sightings” — despite using “very sophisticated electronic detection technologies.”
“While there is no known malicious activity occurring, the reported sightings there do, however, highlight a gap in authority,” Kirby said.

Across the Atlantic, a Bill Gates-backed project aims to block the sun and prevent global warming, halting climate change in its tracks.
While this sounds like pure sci-fi, it’s in fact one of hundreds of different plans to ‘geoengineer’ the Earth.
Geoengineering is the large-scale manipulation of environmental processes that affect Earth’s climate, in an attempt to halt global warming.
Globally, geoengineering projects include injecting chemical aerosols into the atmosphere to reflect sunlight and sucking carbon dioxide (CO2) out of the air with giant fans.
There’s also ‘ocean fertilization’ (adding nutrients to the upper ocean to stimulate plant growth) and ‘afforestation’ (planting trees in areas where there was previously no forest).
Although geoengineering projects are largely well-meaning attempts to save the planet, some scientists are concerned that expensive endeavors could backfire, causing destructive weather patterns and actually making climate change worse.
