While the general public fell for racial politics in the 2008 election of Barack Obama, 2024 is witness to a rejection of the vote-for-skin-color ethos.
Investigative journalist for Newsmax, Cara Castronuova, interviewed black residents of The Bronx in New York City and found that they rejected the racial politics of 2024 Democrat presidential frontrunner Kamala Harris.
“She’s using her color, I thought that Martin Luther King said that color wasn’t the issue, I though it was the content of our character that we were supposed to be recognized for,” One black lady can be heard telling Castronuova. “But if she’s going to keep running on that color, she’s going to have a misconception about how black people really roll.”
Next Castronuova spoke with three young black males who also rebuked Democrat racial politics.
“If you bring somebody into office that looks like you, but then continues to detriment your community, what was that for? But if you choose somebody who can raise your community, then you chose the right one,” the male said with the others agreeing.
Castronuova then asked him who he prefers for the office of the President.
“Personally I choose Trump,” the male said.
Castronuova then spoke to a black gentleman about his perspective on selecting the President.
“I’m looking for who I think is more qualified to run the country,” the gentleman said. “That’s all I’m looking at.”
The next black gentleman Castronuova talked to told her that they’re tired of their money going to illegal aliens.
Castronuova then spoke to a younger black lady who told her that Harris did a bad job on the border.
“From what I know a lot of people were coming from the other side and doing a lot of bad things to what we call home,” she told Castronuova.
Castronuova then interviewed a dark skinned man with a foreign accent who gave her his opinion on Harris.
“I think she’s not a good candidate,” he said.
She then interviewed a black gentleman who rejected racial politics.
“Colors don’t matter … ask God,” he said, to which Castronuova asked him what he thought about those who use their skin color to garner votes. “Yeah that’s some weird shit, you lost, you lost already 2024. You racist today, you lost. No body going against Trump.”
She then spoke with a younger Latina lady who had a similar sentiment.
“It’s not about race it’s about what they provide for the society, it’s about what they could do for the community,” she said.
A black lady then explained one reason why the black community is rejecting Harris.
“With her putting a lot of Black Americans in jail for the marijuana, they’re not really going for her,” she said.
President Biden has previously said that those who don’t vote for him are not black.
