Asked by a reporter at a G7 Summit event in southern Italy whether he believed Hunter was unfairly politically persecuted, Biden claimed he was “satisfied” with the verdict.

“I’m extremely proud of my son, Hunter. He has overcome an addiction,” Biden said, referencing the prolific drug use and debauchery meticulously cataloged in Hunter’s infamous laptop from hell.
“He’s one of the brightest most decent men I know…I am satisfied…I said I’d abide by the jury decision,” Biden continued, adding, “I will do that and I will not pardon him.”
While Biden ruled out issuing a formal presidential pardon of his son, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday didn’t rule out the possibility Biden could commute a prison sentence.
