Update: A sixth solar storm is reportedly heading toward Earth now, and according to reports it could hit G5, the highest level.

Alex Jones wrote on X, “Now 6 on the way. Forecasters are now reporting the storm currently rated a G4 may be upgraded to the highest level G5.”

The US Space Weather Prediction Center warned on Friday that a severe X-class solar storm that took place over the weekend is set to hit Earth, potentially causing blackouts, and disrupting navigation systems and high-frequency radios around the world.

The Prediction Center issued a G4 geomagnetic storm watch – the scale only goes from G1 to G5.

The group stated, “Watches at this level are very rare.”

The X account SpaceWeatherNews posted a video breaking down the coronal mass ejections being launched to Earth:

In the video, the space weather forecaster suggested there’s a 10% chance the storm is “so strong it takes out everything electrical on Earth,” killing all the power grids and more.

Alex Jones posted about the solar storm on social media, telling followers, “4 giant X class solar flares are on their way to earth. The first arrives in hours.”

“Solar flares, just don’t only affect satellites. They also have a massive effect on weather by ionizing the atmosphere. So get ready for violent storms,” he added in another post.

Friday will be the first day materials will be hitting Earth, with more arriving through the weekend.

According to Bloomberg, “The storm’s true power will be known about 60 to 90 minutes before it hits Earth as satellites measure inbound bursts of energy. Large parts of Asia, Europe and North America may be able to see an aurora, often called the Northern Lights, overnight where skies are dark and clear enough, the UK Met Office said. It is likely the aurora will be visible across the entire UK.”

The outlet also said airline flights traveling between Europe, Asia and North America will probably be rerouted so passengers aren’t exposed to excess radiation.

Instead of warning citizens of potential power outages and the dangers that would come with that, local news stations only talked about how cool it would be to see the Northern Lights.

An Arizona State University assistant professor did tell one local station there’s a chance some power grids could be hit by the storm, saying it’s more likely to happen further north.

People should receive at least an hour’s notice if a storm is going to drastically harm Earth’s grids as satellites monitor incoming energy bursts, warning scientists ahead of impact.
