(Natural News) If ever there was a better example of a legal double standard being utilized by a vindictive Marxist-leftist regime — in America, no less, where ‘justice is blind’ — we are hard-pressed to think of one.
A North Dakota man who self describes as a left-wing Antifa lunatic who was previously convicted in a federal court of attacking GOP U.S. Sen. John Hoeven’s office in Fargo Dec. 21 of last year using an ax has been sentenced to probation and a fine only, while scores of people who simply walked into the U.S. Capitol Building in January have gotten actually time in prison (including Antifa members, by the way).
Thomas “Tas” Alexander Starks, 31, of Lisbon, N.D., was filmed on CCTV trying to break inside the office of Sen. John Hoeven’s in Fargo on Dec. 21, 2020, using an axe. In April, he pleaded guilty to a charge of destruction of government property. Federal sentencing guidelines suggested 10–16 months in prison but he was only sentenced to probation and fined $2,784 for restitution.
According to court documents, Starks’ colleague said he was “politically open and motivated,” left-leaning and “very active in protests.” Recently Starks has taken to Facebook to brag about getting his axe back from the FBI.
“Look what the FBI were kind enough to give back to me!” Starks posted on Oct. 26.
In addition, this loon has called for additional violence while spreading Antifa propaganda under the Facebook moniker of “Paul Dunyan,” a play on the ax-lugging lumberjack legend Paul Bunyan (remember when Facebook used to censor and ban violence?).
Starks’ Facebook profile avatar depicts the Antifa red and black flag symbol along with the text, ‘Antifascist.’ On Oct. 22, Starks posted the logo of the Antifascist Action along with the text ‘F— Around and Find Out,’ and three axe emojis,” The Post Millennial reported.
As he was awaiting sentencing in July, Starks posted: “I am ANTIFA. I will always attack fascists, racial superiority complexes built around nationalism that promotes genocide to fuel a war machine is the worst humanity has to offer.”
He literally has no idea that he and the ‘anti-fascist’ group he associates with are the fascists. They are the ones who engage in the same violent activity used by the “brown shirts” loyal to Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini in the 1930s and 1940s used to snuff out political opposition — not the conservatives and Trump supporters they claim are “fascists.”
The PM adds:
That isn’t Starks’ only reference to political violence. In April, he posted about using a rifle to “hunt fascists,” and also using soup cans as projectiles to assault police. During the Black Lives Matter-Antifa riots in Portland last year, Antifa militants carried frozen water bottles and canned food in their backpacks to use as projectiles against law enforcement. In several photographs of himself posted on social media, Starks can be seen wearing a Socialist Rifle Association t-shirt. The militant leftist group urges comrades on the left to take up arms. The group had communicated on Twitter in 2019 with Ohio Antifa member Connor Betts before he died carrying out a deadly mass shooting in Dayton.
The ridiculously light — and very likely politically motivated — sentence was ripped by Fox News host Tucker Carlson in recent days.
Fox News’ Bill Melugin tells Tucker Carlson about TPM’s report by @MrAndyNgo and @MiaCathell that revealed a man with ties to Antifa only received probation after attacking a Republican Senator’s office with an axe.

“In case you’re looking for yet another example of justice applied unequally — there are so many — here’s one: The Chewbakka guy, the Qanon Shaman, just got three years in prison for walking, smiling around the Capitol building on Jan. 6. Meanwhile, in the rest of the country, Antifa, BLM, riots, setting things on fire, the feds just went particularly easy on a vandal with an ax smashed into a U.S. senator’s office,” Carlson said, before bringing in Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, who said that sentencing guidelines called for up to 16 months in prison.
“Even though federal sentencing guidelines suggested maybe ten to sixteen months in prison, Starks was only given probation and a fine of about $2,800. Now here’s the kicker, the FBI even returned the ax back to Starks, citing Starks’ alleged Facebook post where he reportedly wrote ‘look what the FBI were kind enough to give back to me,” Melugin reported.
We don’t have a functional federal justice system anymore. We have the same political apparatus used throughout the 20th century by tyrants to punish their opponents.
