Multiple deaths, injuries as car plows into crowd at auto auction... http://ift.tt/2pFNs3s BILLERICA, Mass. — A vehicle struck several people Wednesday at an auto auction in Billerica before crashing into the building. The crash happened just after 10 a.m. at the Lynnway Auto Auction at 400 Charter Way, about 90 minutes after an auction was scheduled to begin. Woody Tuttle, an auto auction employee who witnessed the incident, said the facility has eight lanes in which vehicles on the auction block line up. People were standing between the lanes when a vehicle suddenly accelerated, Tuttle said. “I heard a screeching of tires, and, I believe, a Jeep Cherokee went flying by me. In avoiding the cars, whoever was driving this vehicle hit several people,” Tuttle said. Multiple ambulances were called to the scene. “It was a very panicky situation,” Tuttle said. "We were all in shock." The building has been evacuated. WCVB will have more information when it becomes available.
