The reason students can't think for themselves is simple
I saw this image and noticed something
"I teach facts [and how to analyze them]! I am a history teacher"
The idea to free thought is that people get to choose how they think, if you force people to think one way, you end up with the mess we have now.
As a high school student I can confirm on many occasions I have had many points deducted for "incorrectly analyzing" documents, for not seeing the "correct viewpoint"
It's time to fix our education system, and it starts with US
