Hey y'all. First time post.
I feel like T_D is a good place to ask this question.
I'm a young 20 something with a stable job currently but am at a point I'm ready to move on and decide on a solid career path.
I was offered a position at my local sheriffs department as a deputy sheriff recently and have always loved the idea of being a LEO and serving my country/community. BUT, I'm concerned over the low pay.
On the other hand I've also been offered a high paying but more mundane/less impactful administration position in a major construction firm.
On the one hand I get to fulfill a lifelong desire to serve and help my community (I'm also a big people person) but on the other hand, I have a high paying albeit boring desk job to consider.
Thoughts?
