TheBlaze host Tomi Lahren was suspended from her show last week following an appearance on “The View” which resulted in immense blowback from many conservatives when she explained why she considers herself to be pro-choice.
In addressing the controversy, TheBlaze founder Glenn Beck pointed out that he’s had openly pro-choice individuals host shows on his network before, such as Amy Holmes, who hosted a show called The Real News. So why the suspension? If not for thoughtcrime, it’s likely because Beck didn’t like how she presented the argument, in stating that it’s hypocritical to be for wanting the government out of our lives in some issues (such as gun control) but IN it in another.
As we reported last week, when we reached out to Tomi for comment, she clarified that while she’s morally pro-life, she doesn’t believe it’s something in which the government should have a role.

Prior to the controversy, it was doubtful according to inside sources that Tomi would be staying at The Blaze after her contract expired in September, so “The View” appearance was perhaps as an excuse (or catalyst) to expedite the process.
And expedite they did, as it’s now being reported Tomi is out at The Blaze. According to
Page Six,
Tomi Lahren won’t be appearing on Glenn Beck’s multi-platform network, TheBlaze, anymore.Sources say Lahren — who was suspended last week after flip-flopping on abortion and declaring herself pro-choice — has been banned permanently.
“Glenn is reminding the world of his conservative principles by sidelining Tomi after she insulted conservatives by calling them hypocrites,” one Beck insider told me.
Fans think Beck — once a big Ted Cruz backer — has lost his conservative bona fides. He went on Samantha Bee’s TBS show in December and apologized for being divisive in the past.
“He’s trying to balance being a leading conservative thinker and also someone who can unify the country,” the Beck associate told me. “He just couldn’t sit by and watch as Tomi Lahren said there’s no way for conservatives to justify anything other than being pro-choice.”
“Beck’s trying to reinvent himself,” a former insider told me. “But he’s burned too many bridges.”
While the liberals who make an effort to criticize everything the woman does on Twitter will undoubtably celebrate her firing, this is nothing more than the beginning of a new chapter in Tomi’s career. As of today, Tomi boasts 4.3 million Facebook fans – which is a million more than Beck, and more than any other host at TheBlaze.
Keep an eye out for her on Fox News..just sayin’.
