Slave wages and less than minimum wage for freelance work
The main problem with freelance work is that the employers who are looking for freelancers are super cheap and they expect you to work for LESS than minimum wage. I've applied to many Craigslist ads and a lot of them expect you to write articles for $0.01 per word. That is absolutely insane. Where do these people get off thinking they can do this? Problem is, THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS because there ARE plenty of people in India or the Philippines who ARE willing to work for such crap...
