Gun falls out of man’s butt during arrest

An Alabama fan gave Crimson Tide nation a bad name on Tuesday when he drunkenly crashed his truck into a ditch, got detained at gunpoint by a civilian, arrested, and then busted with a stolen gun — which fell out of his butt at jail, cops said.

“It happens,” joked Sheriff Mike Blakely, of the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office in Athens.

Jesse O’Neal Roberts, 23, was taken into custody early Tuesday morning and charged with public intoxication, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, promoting prison contraband and receiving stolen property, according to police.

In a statement, released later in the day on Twitter, officials recalled how it all went down.

“Why the owner of a stolen pistol recovered by a corrections officer might not want it back,” the sheriff’s office tweeted, along with the release explaining what happened.

After crashing his truck into a ditch, Roberts — who was allegedly hammered — began snooping around a local resident’s garage. The man eventually caught him and held him at gunpoint until deputies arrived.

When he got to the local jail, corrections officers noticed that Roberts appeared to be walking “strangely,” cops said.

As they searched the young man, he accidentally stumbled — and a gun, which had been stolen from Florence, AL., allegedly fell out of his butt.

“I immediately considered that he defecated on himself before noticing a familiar shape in the form of a pistol in his boxers,” one of the corrections officers stated in his report, according to the sheriff’s office.

Luckily for Roberts, cops said the Jimenez .380 was not loaded.

The Elkmont man has apparently been a Crimson Tide fan since 2014 — posting “ROLL MOTHER F–KING TIDE” as his Facebook status in November of that year.

Roberts was being held on $7,250 bond as of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
